Self-care is a very important step to stay healthy physically and mentally. And in an era of a competitive lifestyle it is considered important to present ourselves in an appealing manner. At the time where everyone was locked inside their houses hoping the curfew would release so that they could go back to the outside world and begin their day to day life, Rotaract Club of Wellawatte came up with a wonderful idea to entertain and educate everyone on make-up and skin care through a fun filled project called “GLAM UP”. Inspired by an Instagram page, this idea was brought by Rtr Liana Andrew to collaborate with a certified make-up artist Miss. Anna Angela. The project was gracefully hosted by Miss. Anna Angela on 8th of November 2020 via Google meet.
With the intention of reaching out to more people Rotaract Club of Wellawatte not only invited fellow Rotaract Clubs but the invitation was open to public as well through which we gained more social media reach by getting more followers on Instagram as well as Facebook .The project started at 10.00 am and it was hosted by Rtr Liana Andrew followed by the welcome speech of the President Rtr. Evelyn John. Then Anna began with an introduction. Followed by a detailed make up tutorial on how to do a day to day self-make-up. Once the look was complete Anna Continued to give self-care tips which was very useful. Then we were open for questions and Anna patiently answered all the questions asked by the viewers which was indeed very helpful. Everyone who participated actively asked questions throughout the Session as well as thanked Anna. Finally Secretary of Rotaract Club of Wellawatte Rtr Frank Joseph delivered the vote of thanks. And the project was completed successfully.
