Letterhead Exchange between the Roatarct Club of Wellawatte and the Rotaract Club of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology (RID 3291) was successfully held on the 10th of October 2019 at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo. Rtr. Aindrila Panda – Joint Secretary, Rotaract Club of Meghnad Saha Institute of Technology (RCMSIT) informed Rtr. Hareendhar – International Services Director of Rotaract Club of Wellawatte of her visit to Sri Lanka and expressed her interest in doing a letterhead exchange with both clubs.
Hence, the availability of the members of Roatarct Club Wellawatte was checked and Rtr. Kumararuban (President 19/20) and Rtr. Evelyn (Secretary 19/20) along with Rtr. Hareendhar confirmed their presence for this project on the avenue of international services. Accordingly, the above members met Rtr. Aindrila Panda at the Galadari Hotel at 6 pm. This informal meeting began with a friendly conversation about Rtr. Aindrilla’s tour to Sri Lanka with her family of which she was delighted as it was her first visit to Sri Lanka.
She then shared her experience as a Rotaractor in an institute based club. She highlighted their membership development strategies, project initiatives, member retention etc. Rotaract Club of Wellawatte being a community based club, Rtr. Kumararuban shared his experience in leading the club and Rtr. Evelyn highlighted about the signature project of the Rotaract Club of Wellawatte – I am A Special Child – making it a fruitful discussion between both club members. Finally, the letterhead exchange was initiated where Rtr. Aindrila Panda and Rtr. Kumararuban exchanged their respective club’s letterheads. Photos were also taken to mark this initiative.
