Inter Rotaract Indoor Cricket Championship was successfully concluded on October 19, 2019 at Excel World Futsal Arena from 9am onwards. Members were present at the venue from 7am in order to prepare and the players started arriving from 8am for registrations. The matches were played in league style with 6 a side and with 4 overs. The participating teams brought in their tracer bullets who put up a good show which gave us an adrenaline rush arousing our curiosity on who will become the champions. There were 9 teams in total including the district. Once the registration was over, the captains of the respective teams came forward for the draw in order to pick the order of the teams playing.
Finally, Team Sky Force Eleven from Rotaract Club of University of Kelaniya became the champions while Team West Dominators from the Rotaract Club of Colombo West became the runners up and Team Roger from the Rotaract Club of Pearl Island became the second runners up. The champions were awarded with a rolling cup, the runners up and the man of the match were awarded with trophies. The main aim behind this project was to unite the members from our peer clubs and show that unity is strength and they can achieve great things through teamwork and collaboration. The highlight of the event was, apart from the team players, members from their respective clubs and members from clubs which did not take part in the match also were present in order to show their support to the participating club as well as for the organizing club.
