Rotaract Club of Wellawatte (RCW) has always believed in fellowship beyond borders and is always on the look-out for initiatives on the avenues of international services whenever an opportunity arises. Being informed of Rtr. Lavanya’s visit to Sri Lanka, Rotaract Club of Wellawatte together with the Rotaract Club of Colombo Fort, organized a joint meeting for a flag exchange with Rtr. Lavanya from the Rotaract Club of Jumeirah.
The meeting commenced with the formal proceedings. The prime reason for the gathering was explained by the President of the Rotaract Club of Wellawatte Rtr. Nanthagopal Kumararuban. Current updates and project ideas in the pipeline from both clubs were shared in the forum that gave a better understanding about the Rotarcat clubs of Wellawatte and Colombo Fort to Rtr. Lavanya.
Rtr. Lavanya addressed the gathering and shared the best practices of Rotaract Club of Jumeirah on the avenues of international services of which the flag exchange initiative is regularly practiced by its members whenever they travel to foreign countries. The flag exchange was initiated where the President of the Rotaract Club of Wellawatte Rtr. Nanthagopal Kumararuban and President of the Rotaract Club of Colombo Fort Rtr. Nazmi Mahumood exchanged their respective flags with Rtr. Lavanya.
