Happiness Hour was an International Service Initiative to observe World Orphan's Day (13th of November, 2017) for the underprivileged children to experience feeling special and carry fond memories with them. It was aspired to spread the joy across the globe for which we saw participation of 170 clubs from 61 Districts spread across 32 countries in 6 continents, wherein we reached out to the children of "Sri Lanka Dhara Child Development Center" in our respective geographical spread and spent an hour entertaining the children.
Rotaract Club of Wellawatte visited the "" on the 19th of November, 2017 where we engaged in leisure activities such as musical chairs, ball passing and performing and had exchanged goodies.
We hope to have created a significant difference in their lives by giving hope and inculcated values of "happiness" that they learnt from spending an hour with us.
Words received from the contented participating clubs assure that we have spread more than 5000 genuine smiles that day.
We believe that every act of love, regardless of the size, has huge impact on everyone involved. We hope to continue to spread love to those around us and strive to do more year after year.
