On behalf of the Rotaract District 16 clubs got together to organize Ifthar evening. Event involved Rotaractors from different cultures and religion : RACANC, RACACBT, RACBattaramulla, RACCUnited, RACChunnakam, RACCFort, RACCRegency, RACCUptown, RACExcellence, RACKDU, RACSinger, RACUOCFMF, RACWattala, RACCMidtown, RACCNorth and RACWellawatte.
The participants were able to build fellowship and harmony by sitting together while having their meal in a traditional way of sharing the meal. The program highlighted the importance of coexistence and religious harmony in the society which promotes peace through inter- faith belief. Also to o experience the tradition of another community, improve fellowship between the clubs. To create an opportunity to exchange views with different clubs.
‘Sharing is caring’- The basic concept implemented for the gathering which will improve the bond between the clubs. Long term friendship and bond will continue with good food. Good opportunities to get know other rotaractors as it will be comfortable platform.
